Hi. Well, it has been a long time, hasn't it? Sorry guys (and dolls). I can't even remember what i was doing the last time I wrote...hold on, let me check....Oh yes the dreaded knee injury! That healed in time...thankfully.

My cousin Kamini's wedding was fun. I seemed to remember downing copious amounts of Guiness and black and Stella and some Comfort too....wasn't cheap but hey, what's £125 between family?? (bloody Hotel prices!!).

The wedding itself was good fun. Food was good when it arrived....I think they underestimated how fast the Bathuras would be consumed by hungry/drunk indians!

However, during the build up, I as introduced to what is going to be my new love....a Digital SLR camera! It was love at first sight (until i found out the price tag)...hmmmm can I affod a new hobby? We'll see...

We decided to stay in York in the end; there was no point in going back to the house in leeds, so we booked a B&B. Arrived there via another bar in the original hotel (after the wedding finished). I got excited at the sight of some cigars 'for sale' behind the bar and even went as far as ordering one, before realising that I would have to go out to smoke it - B077ocks to that! I think its still in the car. :-)

On the Monday, we left the B&B promptly ( I did all the std, falling asleep after ordering the late night food, ate the late night food and then was out for the count in true 'guiness & black' styleee) and headed back to leicester. That's when we crammed in all those house viewings.....nothing to report on that front...will keep you 'posted' - as it were.

Desperately in need of quiet weekend, we still had Hak's birthday weekend to go. That was great fun though. He has now acquired a Wii.

Nige came down on the train and after picking up a couple of bottles of Vodka for Hak, we headed down. We were dubious about the Finladia Grapefruit Vodka, but it turned out to be a winner. I would recommend it with ice (obviously) and a touch of sprite (other sugar-filled crap lemonade-type drinks are available from all all corner stores). We caned a bottle between the three of us in no time at all playing baseball on the Wii. Maaan, our arms were hurting the next day...

The weekend just gone was my cousin Vipul's engagement ceremony. I was on camcorder duties...(he duly sent the instruction manual to me to memorise a week early..). recording was fun, but man, it was a hot day. Unfortunately, that meant there was not much to record on the dancefloor as most people were outside. Respect to the DJ's though, they dismantled some of the equipment and set it up outside. Pity their mixing skills weren't as clever as that! They were positively shite! imagine mixing the sound of a jet engine with Beethoven....underwater.....during York Races.....just as England win the World Cup...worse than that!

Anyway, the drive up to leeds in an awkward position (due to having a passenger behind me) has caused my ankle to seize up! In a lot of pain, but will survive.

Oh, and as for my new found love, I am now the owner of a Nikon D40x SLR camera...I even have my first photography magazine.

Hairy, well done on your egg and spoon race, will sort you out with some money when we meet in Danish-lad...can't wait.

Jo, see you at the airport bright and early!

Ciao...
