Not So Local, Local

I think I'm going to make The House and Jockey my not so local, Local. Good food and live old Indian music ; I couldn't ask for anything else.

However,  2 nights on the trot... Am I in fear of fitting into the category of  "they are always here,  don't they have a home to go to?".... Maybe I should cut it down to once a week.

Was joined lat night by my cousin which was good.

Had Dry Fish and Sheekh Kebabs. Very nice.

Fitness Drive

Finished my first week of personal training - 3 sessions. Felt dead after each one,  today was no exception.  On the boxing pads today,  with circuits in between for good measure!

Booked for Monday at 5am for my next one! Bring it on....

Healthy Eating

Thank god for Harvester and their policy of showing the calories on their menu. It definitely made my choices easier.

Didn't have a starter saving 500 calories.

A more sensible main, saving another 500 easily.

Didn't have the seasoned fries which was 450 calories; opted for boiled potatoes which were 110 calories.

Had diet coke instead of Lager Shandy so that saved 250 calories!

All in all a good evening out.

SPORT RELIEF 2010.....Finally

I can thankfully say that the 3 mile jog/walk is over! some of you may not know, but I had gout in my right ankle on the day (and before), so walking was painful, let alone jogging or even training!

Anyway, after lots of Ibuprofen and magic footballers spray, I am pleased to say that we both completed the run in 44m53s. I am over the moon with this as I had given myself an hour to finish it.

So, a big thank you to all those that have sponsored us and a gentle reminder to those that have forgotten to do so. You know the money is going to a great cause.

Thanks
